Big Changes at the Key West Aquarium
We have had a lot changes going on at the Key West Aquarium. First we have a fabulous new Key West Aquarium website. You can also stay in touch with us on our Key West Aquarium Facebook page and on our Key West Aquarium Twitter page.
Inside the Aquarium we have had a makeover. Our Learning Cove is open and filled with lots of information and exhibits on the environment and some of the endangered animals in our waters. We have also repainted from head to toe, or in our case, nose to tail with a lot of help from our good friends from the United States Coast Group Key West. The crew of the USS Kodiak Island did an amazing job and we cannot thank them enough! |

Key West Ghosts & Gravestones
Ghosts & Gravestones of Key West celebrated our one-year anniversary on July 31, 2011. Ghosts & Gravestones takes our guests on a 90 minute journey through the Isle of Bones to discover the dark side of Key West's colorful history. It also features an audience with Robert the Doll inside the East Martello Fort. Coincidentally, July 31 would have also been the 102nd birthday of Elena Hoyos, a young Cuban lady who features prominently in a grave robbing story on our tour; and 2011 is the 80th anniversary of her untimely and tragic demise. |
